One of the great things about France is that the country is incredible versatile and whatever type of holiday you are looking for, and whatever budget you have to stick to, chances are that you will find it.
If you are looking for luxury then a weekend in a five star hotel in Paris or time spent on the French Riviera will be perfect for you. Or maybe a stay in one of the oh-so-romantic chateaux in the Loire Valley? You can eat at some of the best restaurants in the world and dine on delicacies such as truffles and the best fine wines.
On the other end of the scale there are so many holidays in France which do not cost the earth, such as a stay in a holiday park, a trip in a campervan or a couple of weeks on a camp site.
You can do your shopping at the local markets or supermarkets and as the food is relatively inexpensive you can live well on a tight budget.
The scenery too is so varied from the wild and rugged shores of Brittany through to the mountainous areas in the Alps and Pyrenees. You can visit fairy tale castles or villages perched on the side of the hill or take in some of the country's history in the Bayeux tapestry.
